When we set out last May to build My Health and Money, we thought for sure we’d be celebrating our launch alongside healthcare reform.  But here we are, October 8th and My Health and Money is ready for action while Congress is still arguing about what to do.

Well, we’re not sure why it’s taking them so long to figure out what we knew months ago – Americans want access to care at a price they can afford.  So today My Health and Money brings members savings on brand name and generic drugs, special offers for mental health services, with more discounts coming soon.  We’ve married up our savings with cost comparison tools so as consumers we can all finally have access to quality rankings and pricing on diagnostic tests and hospital procedures.  And, we offer educational content about how to save, shop, and manage your care.  In other words, we offer a combination of information, community and transactions that add up to taking control of your healthcare.

If there’s one thing we all know, it’s that when it comes to reducing out-of-pocket healthcare costs information must be accompanied by actions.  Otherwise, it’s nice to know, but not helpful.  My Health and Money’s expert team of industry insiders who are also healthcare consumers are available to answer questions about managing care and cost as well as ready to champion your needs with healthcare companies.

So now that we’re live, let’s get doing and take control back!
